April 25, 2012 – UpDate:  Robbery with a Firearm

On Monday, March 12, 2012, at 12:30 a.m., the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department received a report of an armed robbery that occurred at the Shell Gasoline Station located at 190 Innis Avenue in the Town of the Poughkeepsie.

An employee reported that a male suspect, described as approximately 6′ tall, dressed in all black with his face concealed by a mask, entered the store. The suspect then displayed a rifle in a threatening manner towards the employee and demanded money and cigarettes. The employee complied with the suspects’ demand and was not injured in the confrontation. The suspect left the store on foot in an unknown direction.

After a lengthy investigation the following subjects were arrested and charged with Robbery in the 1st degree:

Albert F. Clark and Jessica L. Raymo were arraigned before City of Poughkeepsie Judge Mora on 04/22/12. Defendants were remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond. Donald E. Prusakowski was arraigned before Town of Poughkeepsie Judge Paul Sullivan on 04/24/12. Defendant was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.

The Town of Hyde Park Police Department assisted with the investigation and arrests of the three defendants.

April 23, 2012 – Armed Robbery

On April 22nd,2012 at approximately 12:00PM, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department responded for a reported armed robbery at the Smokes 4 Less store, 2 Raymond Avenue, Poughkeepsie NY.

The victim clerk reported she had been robbed at gunpoint by a black female. The suspect entered the store alone, pointed a handgun at the clerk and made her empty the register of cash. The suspect then fled on foot. The clerk was uninjured.

The suspect is described as a light skinned black female, approximately 5’6′ tall, slender build, and dressed in black clothing and shoes. The suspect also wore sunglasses, large hoop earrings and a black military style fatigue cap with a front brim.

April 19, 2012 – Vehicle Break-in

On April 12, 2012 at approximately 10:00PM, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department responded to the Poughkeepsie Galleria Mall for a reported larceny from a parked vehicle.

While enroute to the scene, officers observed a large amount of smoke in the mall parking lot and located a vehicle, with both front tires snapped off, resting on the curbing of the mall ring road. Officers found two subjects with the car who were uninjured.

While the officer completed the accident investigation, a second officer responded for the original police call of a larceny from a vehicle. The officer investigating the accident noticed items at the accident scene that were not consistent with the vehicle operator’s statements. The officer at the vehicle larceny contacted the officer at the accident scene regarding items taken from the victim’s vehicle. Subsequent investigation resulted in items stolen from the vehicle in the parking lot being located inside the vehicle at the accident scene. Additional investigation, including a track by Town of Poughkeepsie Police K-9 ‘Reagan’ , resulted in the locating of additional items stolen from the victims car.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident was charged at the scene as follows. A second defendant, who fled the scene prior to police arrival, was arrested and charged as follows on the next day, April 13th,2012.
