November 29, 2011: Strong Arm Robbery
On Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at 9:42 p.m. the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department responded to the area of Dutchess Community College (DCC) for the report of a robbery. A taxicab driver stated that two (2) male suspects entered his cab and directed him to the area of a parking lot on the campus of DCC.
Upon arriving at the parking lot, one of the suspects punched the cab driver in his head while the other suspect forcibly restrained him. The suspects forcibly took an unknown amount of cash from the victim.
At the time of this incident, members of the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department located a subject fitting the description of one of the suspects walking through an apartment complex close to the area of the crime scene. This subject was identified as Cory M. Nogue and it was determined that he was one of the suspects responsible for the robbery and was placed under arrest and charged with robbery in the 2nd degree.
The cab driver was transported to St. Francis Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
Further investigation revealed that the second suspect was Juan M. Decontreras, who was arrested on November 29, 2011, and charged with robbery in the 2nd degree.

Corey Nogue was arraigned before Judge Paul Sullivan. Defendant remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash/$40,000 bond, and was directed to reappear in Town Justice Court on November 29, 2011.
Juan Manuel Decontreras is awaiting arraignment and is being held at the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department.
November 29, 2011: Residential Burglary
On Tuesday, November 15, 2011, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department responded to Windsor Court for the report of a burglary that occurred sometime overnight while residents were sleeping.
A laptop computer, various electronic and personal items valued at $1800.00 were stolen from the residence.
A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the following two subjects on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, for Burglary in the 2nd degree.
The laptop computer was recovered during the investigation.

On November 29, 2011, Sherrod Spurgeon was arraigned before Judge Paul Sullivan. On November 30, 2011, Darius L. Halpin was arraigned before Judge Paul Sullivan. Both defendants were released under the supervision of the Dutchess County Probation Department and directed to reappear in Town Justice Court on December 5, 2011.
2011 Holiday Safety
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department reminds the community to be safe this holiday season. The holiday season is a time when lives become hectic, we become complacent and as a result are vulnerable to crime. Consider shopping with a friend or family member so your not alone and you can watch over each other.
The holidays are a good time to update or create a home inventory. Take photos or videos of items, and list descriptions and serial numbers. If your home is burglarized, having a detailed inventory can help identify and claim stolen items. Also, write down any account numbers and phone numbers to contact banks should you need to cancel any financial accounts if you lose or have your wallet stolen.
Whenever you leave your home, make sure your doors and windows are secure, alarm systems are on and packages out of view to deter a potential burglar. If you’re traveling out of town, keep your lights on timers, have your driveway cleared of snow and have neighbors keep an eye on your home and retrieve your mail. Criminals sometimes pose as couriers delivering gifts or illegitimate people or organizations going door to door for charitable donations. Ask for identification and their Peddler’s Permit issued by Town Hall. If you’re not comfortable or satisfied with their credentials, don’t donate or purchase from them.
Holiday shoppers make perfect targets for vehicle break-ins. Caution is advised when choosing to leave valuables or shopping bags in your vehicle. All electronic devices such as GPS systems, radar detectors and other musical devices are tempting for criminals looking to break-in to your vehicle. Plan ahead and leave them at home and if you absolutely must leave any valuables in your car, place them in the trunk and always lock the doors. Anything of value, even loose change, is inviting to a criminal. When possible, shop during daylight hours and park in well-lit, highly trafficked areas of a parking lot.
While shopping, stay alert to your surroundings, don’t leave your purse unattended if you must bring it with you. Consider carrying a small wallet and keeping it in your front pocket and avoid carrying a large amount of cash. It is not recommended to have your debit or credit card PIN numbers written down in your wallet. If you realize your card has been lost or stolen, immediately cancel your card and contact the police. Don’t
overload yourself with packages and beware of strangers approaching you or around you, this may be a method of distracting you with the intention of taking your belongings.
On-line shopping can offer convenience but also can come with risks. Remember to save your order numbers and tracking numbers should a package be lost or stolen. It is also recommended that credit card information not be stored on any site, in case their site is hacked, putting your information at risk.
November 5, 2011: Assault
On Monday, October 31st,2011 at approximately 10:15PM, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department responded to the intersection of Alda Drive and Reno Road for the report of a group of people fighting in the roadway.
Upon arrival, officers found three males who stated they had been involved in a fight with three other males who had fled the scene. The victims indicated they had been struck with baseball bats by the suspects. The victims suffered lacerations and were examined by Arlington Fire District EMS. Both victims declined further medical attention.
The victims refused to identify who the suspects were and refused to cooperate with the responding officers.
On November 1st, 2011 at approximately 5:30PM, two of the three victims appeared at Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department headquarters indicating they now wanted to cooperate with law enforcement regarding the assault. Subsequent investigation resulted in the suspects being identified and arrest warrants were issued for the below named defendants. The third assault victim continued to refuse to cooperate with law enforcement.
On November 5th,2011 at approximately 9:00AM, the two defendants were located at their residences and arrested by the Village of Wappingers Falls Police Department.

Nobember 7, 2011: Criminal Contempt/Criminal Trespass
On Monday, November 7, 2011, at 12:58 p.m. the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department responded to a residence on Vassar Road for the report of a female whose ex-boyfriend verbally threatened to ‘shoot up the place’. The female also reported her ex-boyfriend was in possession of a firearm and left the area on foot, heading towards Briarcliff Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
Responding officers subsequently had contact with Donovin Mitchell-Diop who was observed walking on Briarcliff Avenue. When officers approached him, Mitchell-Diop ran from them and was last seen at the rear of an unoccupied private residence on Briarcliff Avenue.
The Town of Poughkeepsie SWAT Team was activated and with responding units set up a perimeter around the residence. Officers contacted Mitchell-Diop by calling his cell phone and convinced him to surrender himself to the officers on the scene. He complied and was taken into custody without further incident. The investigation resulted in the recovery of an assault style rifle with live ammunition. This was the weapon Mitchell-Diop was in possession of on Vassar Road. The Town of Poughkeepsie K9 Unit assisted with locating the rifle.
Mitchell-Diop had pending warrants of arrest issued by the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Court for Robbery, 3rd degree, Class D/Felony and Criminal Contempt, 1st degree, Class E/Felony, stemming from an incident with the same former girlfriend on July 21, 2011 when he forcibly stole property from her at her residence.

November 7, 2011: Burglary
On Monday, November 7, 2011, at 12:38 p.m. the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department received a report from a concerned citizen who stated he saw two (2) subjects breaking into a residence at Ridgefield Apartments located off Innis Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie. The citizen stated the two (2) suspects were last seen walking on Innis Avenue.
Responding officers located the two (2) suspects walking on Innis Avenue who were identified as Marquise Parham and Antonio Locket. A subsequent investigation revealed the suspects had broken into the residence at Ridgefield Apartments and stole computer equipment and miscellaneous items from within. Parham and Locket were in possession of all stolen items taken from the residence when stopped by responding officer.
This investigation revealed that Antonio R. Locket had broken into the same residence on October 18, 2011.

November 6, 2011: Domestic Dispute / Family Offense
On Sunday, November 6,2011, at approximately 12:00 noon the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting a male chasing a female at the intersection of Dutchess Turnpike and Cherry Hill Drive in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
An additional call from a nearby business reported a female had just run in the store and stated ‘lock the doors…he is going to kill me’. Responding officers located the female in the business and initiated an investigation.
The female victim stated she had been assaulted by her boyfriend while in a vehicle travelling on Dutchess Turnpike. The victim stated the boyfriend had bitten her on her right forearm and repeatedly threatened to stab and kill her. The victim fled the vehicle on foot with her boyfriend chasing her. The victim went to numerous houses on Dutchess Turnpike seeking help before entering the business that called 911. The boyfriend fled the scene. The victim suffered minor bite mark injuries to her forearm and declined medical treatment.
An area search for the suspect and his vehicle was conducted. Investigative information subsequently led police officers to Main Street in the City of Poughkeepsie where the suspect was located with the assistance of the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department without incident.

November 4, 2011: Assault with a Weapon
On Friday, November 4, 2011, at 4:44 a.m. the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department received a report of a physical altercation at the Shady Brook Trailer Park located at 67 Old Manchester Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie. The caller stated that his friend was injured during the altercation and he was transporting him to St. Francis Hospital to be treated.
Officers who responded to the scene did not locate any subjects, however, located a large amount of blood in the roadway and on vehicles parked on the road in Shady Brook Trailer Park. Subsequent investigation revealed five (5) to six (6) individuals were involved in a physical altercation during which a gunshot was heard. During the investigation damage caused by a gunshot was found to a residence close to the scene. No one was located with an injury from a gunshot.
Officers who responded to St. Francis Hospital located the victim who was being treated for a traumatic brain injury and numerous lacerations to his head, face and body. He was not the victim of a gunshot wound.
On Saturday, November 5, 2011, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department arrested Cody M. Morgan for assaulting the victim. The investigation is ongoing and other arrests are pending.

October 31, 2011 – Accident, Personal Injury
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Traffic Enforcement Unit reports investigating a three-car personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 3:44pm on October 31, 2011. This occurred on Spackenkill Road (State Route 113) near the intersection with Van Duzer Drive. A 56 year old Wappingers Falls resident, operating a 1994 Mercury, was traveling West on Spackenkill Road when he crossed over the double yellow line into the Eastbound lane of traffic. The 1994 Mercury first struck the rear corner of a 2005 BMW being operated by a 20 year old Poughkeepsie resident, the 1994 Mercury continued forward further into the Eastbound lane colliding head-on into a marked Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department patrol vehicle.
The operator of the 1994 Mercury was transported to St. Francis Hospital with internal and leg injuries. The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Officer was transported to St. Francis Hospital with undisclosed injuries. The operator of the BMW was not injured.
Spackenkill Road was closed for approximately 2 hours during the investigation. The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department was assisted on scene by the Arlington Fire District. The accident is still under investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to call 845-485-3666.
October 31, 2011 – Senior Citizen Emergency Watch Program
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department reminds residents about a program to assist seniors living in the Town of Poughkeepsie. Having seniors in our community that do not have family or friends checking up on them regularly led the police department to develop the “Senior Citizen Emergency Watch Program”. The program was activated during Sunday’s storm and all participants were contacted by phone or a visit from a patrol officer to verify they were safe.
This program allows the police department to document in a computer database the names of senior citizens, where they reside, and important contact information. In addition, information concerning potential special needs during an unusual inclement weather event or natural disaster will be on file. Police officers will be assigned to make home visits as manpower and circumstances permit, to see if the senior citizen is in need of any special assistance, particularly if we are not able to make contact with participants.
Many times police are called to check on a senior citizen’s welfare and there is no answer at the door. The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department is committed to making contact with the resident and at times officers have to force entry into the residence. By filling out the “Senior Citizen Emergency Watch Program” contact form with emergency names and contact telephone numbers, police officers can first contact someone to see if they know of a reason the senior citizen may not be answering the door.
Emergency contact information is also vital in the event a senior citizen is ill or has fallen and has to be taken to a hospital. The designated contact person(s) can be notified and answer important medical information.
Senior citizens or their relatives and friends are encouraged to fill out the contact form. You may obtain a form through the Town of Poughkeepsie Town Clerk, Recreation Department or at police headquarters.

October 27, 2011 – Snow Ordinances
Residents in the Town of Poughkeepsie are reminded of upcoming snow related ordinances in the town.
Town Ordinance 195-30a, prohibits vehicles from being parked on any street, road or highway in the Town of Poughkeepsie or a parking lot maintained by the town, between the hours of 12:00 A.M. – 8:00 A.M. from November 1st – April 1st.
Town Ordinance 174-2, reminds owners or occumpants of homes to remove snow and ice from sidewalks within four hours after any snowfall occurring betwen 6:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M. or within six hours thereafter.
Town Ordinance 174-5, reminds owner or occupant to remove snow from around a fire hydrant for a distance of two feet and between the sidewalk or the curb to keep the fire hydrant free from snow throughout the winter.

October 18, 2011: Accident, Personal Injury
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Traffic Enforcement Unit reports investigating a two-car personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 10:08am on October 18, 2011. This occurred on Haight Avenue, at the intersection with Raymond Avenue. A 1999 International Harvester, operated by a 38-year-old male from Newburgh, NY, was traveling eastbound on Haight Avenue in the left lane when a 1997 Ford Taurus, operated by a 27 year old male from Kingston, NY, was eastbound on Haight Avenue in the center lane and attempted to make a left turn onto Raymond Avenue. The operator of the 1997 Ford Taurus was issued traffic tickets for an unsafe turn and failing to yield right of way to the International Harvester.
Both operators and a passenger in the Ford Taurus were transported to Saint Francis Hospital for injuries. All eastbound lanes of Haight Avenue were closed for approximately 3 hours while the accident was investigated. Town of Poughkeepsie Police was assisted at the scene by the Arlington Fire District. October 18, 2011: Accident, Personal Injury
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Traffic Enforcement Unit reports investigating a two-car personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 5:10 pm on October 17, 2011. This occurred on South Road (State Route 9) approximately 500 feet North of Sheafe Road. A 1998 Honda Civic, operated by a 30-year-old male from Wappingers Falls, NY, was traveling southbound on Route 9 when a 2010 Toyota Rav 4, operated by a 34 year old female from Walden, NY, was in the northbound lanes of Route 9 and attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot. A preliminary investigation reveals that the operator of the 2010 Toyota Rav 4 failed to yield right of way to the Honda Civic.
Both operators and a passenger in the Toyota Rav 4 were transported to Saint Francis Hospital for injuries. All southbound lanes of Route 9 were closed for approximately 3 hours while the accident was investigated. Town of Poughkeepsie Police was assisted at the scene by the Arlington Fire District. October 12, 2011: Attempted Burglary
On October 12, 2011 at 1:12 a.m. the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department responded to a burglar alarm at Planet Wings, 661 Dutchess Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Patrols arrived and found the drive-thru window forced partially open in an attempt for someone to enter the business. The perimeter around the business was secured by responding Town of Poughkeepsie Police Officers. A Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department K9 Unit responded and conducted an area search and located the defendant in a grassy area behind Valvoline, 657 Dutchess Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
After further investigation it was revealed that the defendant, Jose Rodriguez, attempted to gain entry to the business.

September 26, 2011: Suicide
On Sunday, September 25, 2011, at approximately 12:50 p.m. the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department received a ‘911’ emergency call reporting a male slumped over in the driver’s seat of a Verizon truck in the parking lot of the Verizon maintenance building at 181 VanWagner Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie. The victim was discovered by children playing in the neighborhood.
The subsequent on-scene investigation conducted by the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department and the Dutchess County Medical Examiners Office has resulted in the preliminary finding that the male victim died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. An autopsy is pending on today’s date, September 26, 2011.
The victim is John J. Filiberti, age 48, of Hyde Park, N.Y. He was an employee of Verizon and was working a day shift for the company. The victim was found seated in his normally assigned company vehicle. Police Detectives recovered a 40 calibre semi-automatic handgun at the scene, which was legally registered to the victim.
John J. Filiberti was the father of Kathryn Filiberti. Kathryn Filiberti was the victim of a homicide in the Town of Hyde Park on March 19, 2011.
September 20, 2011: Burglary in progress to a Residence
On September 19, 2011 at about 6:05 p.m., the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department received a phone call from a witness concerning a suspicious vehicle parked in a driveway on Lorraine Boulevard in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
The witness advised police dispatchers that three men went behind the house with rubber gloves on and were possibly inside of the house stealing items. Town of Poughkeepsie police officers assisted by their K-9 Unit responded to the private residence. Police found three male suspects inside of the house in the process of stealing personal property.
The 3 suspects were taken into custody without incident and transported to Town of Poughkeepsie Police headquarters for further investigation. All three subjects were subsequently charged with Felony Burglary in the Second Degree.
Chief Thomas Mauro ‘credits a neighbor of the victim homeowner, who called police immediately, cooperated with the dispatchers and responding officers , with stopping this residential burglary already in progress. The public is a big part of crime prevention and apprehension.’

All three defendants were arraigned before Judge Paul Sullivan in the Town of Poughkeepsie Court on September 20, 2011. All defendants were remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
September 13, 2011: Arrest of Level 3 Sex Offender
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department reports the arrest of a level 3 registered sex offender for violating the New York State Sex Offender Registry Act.
During routine address verification checks, detectives discovered level 3 registered sex offender Leslie Pezze was no longer residing at the address listed in the sex offender registry. Subsequent investigation resulted in Pezze being located and arrested on the below charges.
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department takes a proactive approach to monitoring all registered sex offenders via unannounced address verifications. September 13, 2011: Deceased body found in woods
On September 11, 2011 at approx. 4:44pm, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Dept. was called by an employer who had not heard from his employee, Clifford J. Perkins, for several days. He had last seen him on Wednesday September 7th at 5:00pm. The employer tried calling Perkins on Thursday September 8th so that he could pick him up for work but was unable to reach him.
The employer had heard that Perkins had been living in a wooded area off of Rt.55 in the vicinity of Vassar College. The employer and some friends began a search for Perkins and located him on Sunday September 11th and immediately called the town police. Perkins had a makeshift camp and was found deceased. He was lying under a tarp.
Initial examination of the scene indicates that a large tree had fallen onto the campsite area striking Perkins in the upper body causing blunt force trauma. The Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office assisted at the scene and is also investigating.

September 6, 2011: Domestic Dispute / Family Offense
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department reports investigating a report of a domestic violence incident that occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. on August 31, 2011. The female victim reports that a previous male friend arrived at her residence and when the victim refused to let him into her residence he forcibly gained entry. The victim had an Order of Protection issued by the City of Poughkeepsie Court on May 17, 2011.
Upon gaining forceful entry into her home, the male (see below) physically assaulted the female victim, causing minor injuries to her facial area. The male suspect also physically menaced the female victim with a knife. The female victim was able to separate herself from the suspect at which time the suspect fled the area.
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department reports the investigation of this incident has resulted in the issuance of Criminal Warrant of Arrest, issued by the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Court, charging Davone A. Riddick, age 26, with the crimes of Burglary in the 1st degree, Criminal Contempt in the 1st degree, Aggravated Criminal Contempt, Menacing in the 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree and Assault in the 3rd degree. Davone A. Riddick is described as a black male, 5’6”, 245 pounds.

August 22, 2011: Domestic Violence Arrest
On August 22, 2011 at approximately 12:00PM, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police responded for the report of a male dragging a female into the woods at an apartment complex on Dutchess Turnpike.
Responding officers located a male subject and a female subject in the wooded area adjacent to a parking lot. The female subject was yelling for help.
Officers were able to detain the male subject without incident. The female subject indicated she had been forced into the woods and detained there as a result of a domestic dispute with the male subject. The male subject was the female subjects fiance.
The female had minor injuries and Arlington Fire Distrcit EMS was requested to the scene. The female declined transport to the hospital.
Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the male subject for the following charges.

August 15, 2011 – Arrests, General
On August 15, 2011 the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department arrested a 51 year old male for two felony counts of Grand Larceny. The arrest stems from a long term investigation which involved a robbery at the Ulster Savings Bank located in the 44 Plaza on December 13, 2010.
On December 13, 2010 the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department responded to the Ulster Savings bank upon the report of a robbery that had taken place. The suspect at the time was described as a white male, approximately 6’2”, possibly fifty years of age. The suspect left the area on a bicycle. See attached original press release.

The defendant was arraigned in the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Court by Judge Paul Banner. He was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail. The defendant is due back in court on August 16, 2011 at 4:30pm.
August 10, 2011 – Larcenies from Motor Vehicles
On August 8, 2011, at approximately 5:00 a.m. the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department received a call from a resident of a Route 9 apartment complex reporting persons going through vehicles. The caller provided a description of two male suspects and reported they fled the scene on bicycles northbound on Route 9.
A responding police officer observed two subjects fitting the description on Academy Street near Route 9. The two subjects fled into a wooded area and an area search was conducted by City and Town of Poughkeepsie Police Officers. City of Poughkeepsie Police Officers subsequently located two subjects matching the description on Lincoln Avenue.
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department K-9 Unit responded and a track was initiated. K9 ‘Reagan’ performed a track from the crime scene for approximately 2.2 miles to the location on Lincoln Avenue which led to where the two subjects were detained by the City of Poughkeepsie Police. During the track, ‘K9 Reagan’ also located the two bikes discarded in a wooded area by the suspects.
Subsequent investigation found that the two subjects were in possession of property stolen from numerous unsecured vehicles in the Town of Poughkeepsie. The subjects were subsequently arrested and charged with multiple counts of petit larceny.
The investigation is continuing regarding a large quantity of personal electronic items, i.e. GPS units, cell phones and IPods, as well as currency that the defendants were found to be in possession of.
Thus far, the investigation shows that only unsecured vehicles were victimized. The Town of Poughkeepsie Police strongly urge residents to not leave cash or valuables in their vehicles and to also secure their motor vehicles by locking them.
Both defendants were arraigned before Judge Paul Banner and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1000.00 cash or $2000.00 bond. Both defendants are scheduled to reappear in Town Justice Court on August 16, 2011 at 4:00 p.m.
August 1, 2011 – Larceny from a Motor Vehicle
On July 21, 2011 at approximately 12:24 a.m., the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department received a complaint from an alert citizen regarding a suspicious person on the grounds of Healey Brothers Chevrolet located at 1960 South Road, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. The caller reported seeing a subject riding an ATV in the car lot while carrying what appeared to be a vehicle jack.
Officers responding did hear an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) operating in the wooded area behind the dealership. A check of the dealership found that a vehicle had been jacked up and four (4) wheels, tires and lug nuts had been stolen.
A Town of Poughkeepsie K-9 Officer was called in to assist. A track was located in brush that ran towards some power lines. The K-9 unit was able to track the subject’s scent through a wooded area with rough terrain to a residence on Spring Rd. in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
Following the K-9 unit’s track, the officers were able to recover the property stolen as well as the individual involved in the theft of the wheels and tires. The tires and wheels were valued at over $1,000.00.

July 22,2011 – Misc. Complaint
On Saturday, July 23, 2011 at approx. 2:30pm, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Dept. received a report from an archaeoligist that was conducting a dig on Route 9D near the New Hamburg Fire Dept. While doing a dig and excavation he uncovered what appeared to be a human skull.
The area was secured and crime scene technicians were sent to the scene. An examination of the area was conducted and specialized assistance and equipment was requested. The Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office and the New York State Police responded to assist.
On Monday, July 25, 2011 at approx. 10:30am ,a Board Certified Forensic Anthropologist, Dr. Vincent H. Stefan, arrived on scene and continued the excavation around the skull for any additional remains. A skull including jawbones and teeth were uncovered at the scene. An on-scene analysis was conducted and the skull appears to be human skeletal remains from an historic/pre-historicNative American Indian possibly dating back to the 1800’s or early 1900’s.
The site and security was returned back to the original archeoligist firm, CityScape, White Plains, NY that discovered the remains.
