November 7, 2013 – Grand Larceny
On June 20, 2013, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department received a call from the Hampton Inn, 2361 South Road, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., stating a hotel customer did not satisfy his bill after a five (5) month stay at the hotel. The suspect wrote two (2) bank checks totaling $12,600 to cover expenses. The two (2) checks were returned to the Hampton Inn for ‘insufficent funds’.
An investigation by the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department led to the arrest of a 53 year old male.
The male was charged with Grand Larceny, 3rd degree, Class D/Felony and Issuing a Bad Check, Class B/Misdemeanor.

ARRAIGNMENT INFORMATION
John Hill was arraigned before Judge Paul Banner on November 5, 2013. Defendant was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond and is to return to Town Justice Court on November 8, 2013.
